Apparently some dude named Sam O'Neal featured us on SmallGroups.com's blog. We took a looksie and think it's a pretty cool place if your church is into small groups or community groups... or life groups, or cluster groups, or division guilds.
It took awhile but we finally found out how to set up a Flickr account. Granted we aren't tech geeks (thank goodness), but that whole connection through Yahoo confused us. Everytime we talk about it, Chachi suggests that we go grab some Yoo-Hoo's from 7-11. I think he thinks they are the same thing.
Anyway, here's the link to our Flickr page: Johnny and Chachi's Flickr Page
I just saw a copycat site of another site and couldn't believe! Poor form people. Which reminded me of two copycats from OUR past. Check out these guys and tell me you don't see a resemblance to us. Not just that, but they work at Igniter Media... the company that produces our videos!!!
To say we have had a rivalry with the Skit Guys is an understatement. We thought it was hilarious when our 'Killer Marriage Tips' never hit #1 on WorshipHouse Media, in part thanks to 'Love Words', Skit Guys mega-seller. But since we have gotten to hang with them at the Simply Youth Ministry Conference, we decided that we really like them. Like really really like them.
When we say Smalley, we mean Michael Smalley, the son of Gary. We thought we might get one or two more clicks if we led you to believe it was an interview with Gary. Don't get us wrong. Michael is one cool dude and will probably dominate the world eventually with his wit and charm.
Here is the interview. Keep in mind, Michael cut off half of our bodies.
You can also follow Michael on twitter. We do and it's a blast: Michael's Twitter
Chachi and I (Johnny) had an extended gig over at Valley Ranch Baptist Church. We had 6 or so 'sets' to do and had a lot of fun. Was my fly down during the first set? Yes. But I think we were able to bounce back from that. We did several of our song medleys and did a special version of 'Pants on the Ground'.
A highlight was hanging out with the guys from Detour 180. Great guys with very convincing New Zealand accents. Here they are in picture form:
Thanks to Valley Ranch, Coppell First Methodist and First Baptist, Coppell for allowing us to be a part of your Winter Weekend. Lots of fun.
Some guy that looks like Chachi took care of our booth. Nice enough guy.
Johnny and I have done it again. We've made another video.
If you are in a small group, watch it.
If you are thinking about getting in one, watch it.
If you hate small groups, watch it.
If you hate Johnny and Chachi, don't watch it.

We would call him a guru in 'all things' marriage, but that would be selling him short. Gary Smalley helped us with our latest Killer Tips video... this time we tackle marriage. I know what you're thinking, 'Guys, you tackled marriage with The Don't Song'. You're correct, we did. But we felt we simply had more to say. A lot more.
Cross your fingers that Gary doesn't see the 'final' edit and count himself out of the video. That would bite.
Lots of churches do community groups or small groups... in fact, there are enough out there doing these types of groups that we thought we'd throw our hat in the ring and help out. We came up with 6 tips that if used properly, will revolutionize your small group. That's why we call them 'killer'. 'killer' equals 'revolutionary' in my book.
Here are pictures from the shoot. More to come.
So, we had a great time at the Scribble Sessions and the Tim Hawkin's Concert. Thanks Nevan Hooker and Chris Ball... lots of fun hanging with you guys. Thanks to everyone who laughed at us. If you didn't laugh, we're simply not going to thank you.
